Join White Plains Librarian Barbara Wenglin to explore compelling readings from the rich anthology, Music Stories (ed. Wesley Stace, Everyman’s Pocket Classics, 2024). These vibrant and varied works by diverse authors capture the universal – sometimes controversial -- world of music, paying tribute to one art form through another. We will also discuss related film selections at some sessions, to view before we meet.
The reading for this session is: “Music” by Vladimir Nabokov (1932 - p.279). Victor attends a piano recital and is distracted when he notices his ex-wife in the audience.
Copies of the series anthology are available to reserve through the catalog with one held at the Reference Desk for reading in the Library.
