In honor of Black History month, join National Park Service's Kevin Bryant in an online talk about the life of Frederick Douglass and a virtual tour of his final home, Cedar Hill in Washington, D.C.
Cedar Hill was the final home of Frederick Douglass. In this virtual tour, we will explore the 21-room home in which he lived his final 17 years and unpack the meaning of his belongings and hear about his life's work and how it is reflected in the home. A crown jewel of the National Park Service, Cedar Hill is remarkably intact, being full of the original objects belonging to the Douglass family.
This program is presented by the North White Plains Public Library in partnership with the White Plains Public Library and several other Westchester Library System libraries.
