Common Council Forum

Get to know the Common Council candidates ahead of the November 3rd election! During the forum, a trained moderator will pose questions to the candidates that will help get the information you need.

How to Ask a Question: While no questions will be taken from the floor, it’s important that your voice is heard. To that end, here is how you can submit your question(s):

• Write Common Council Election Question in the subject line
• Deadline for Question Submission is on Friday, October 2nd, 5pm.

Questions Guidelines:

Questions should be applicable to all candidates and center on White Plains issues rather than personalities. The League will review questions, consolidate similar ones and choose those that will reflect a wide range of issues. Here are some sample areas to consider when creating your questions:

General Platform and Priorities Economy and Taxes
Affordable Housing Development
Infrastructure Transportation
Social Policies, Equal Rights Public Safety
Immigration Environmental Policies and Natural Resources

Video: The forum will be recorded by White Plains Community Media  and rebroadcast on Optimum channel 76 and Verizon channel 47 (schedule to be announced). It will also be available on the White Plains Community Media website  www.wpcommunitymedia.org.  
Please note that the League of Women Voters policy does not allow personal video or audio recording of the forum. The only recording permissible will be by White Plains Community Cable.
