Repair Cafe Teen Volunteer Training

A training session for teens who want to learn basic sewing mending skills in order to volunteer at the White Plains Repair Cafe in November.

We're looking for teens who want to learn skills and help repair fabric items at the White Plains Repair Cafe. We'll learn to use the Library's sewing machines, along with basic hand-sewing skills. We'll offer multiple training sessions this fall, after which teens will be equipped to help people repair clothing and other fabric items at the Repair Cafe. All skill levels are welcome. 

Registration required; in order to register, you must commit to attending at least two training sessions this fall, and to volunteering at the Repair Cafe on Saturday 11/21. Register at the link below for any and all training session dates that work for you (you may register for as many as you'd like.) Time spent at the training sessions and Repair Cafe all count toward volunteer hours.
